DC Contractors performs initial storm damage inspections for free. We have found it is best to qualify potential storm damage before making a claim on your insurance policy. If the damage warrants involving insurance, we'd also be happy to guide you through the process. Take a look at our roadmap below!
Your insurance provider will file the claim and send the claim to an insurance adjuster. The insurance adjuster will schedule a day and time to perform an onsite inspection. After the examination is scheduled, the homeowner will contact their professional with DC Contractors, and we will meet with the adjuster to assist with the inspection process. It's always recommended to have a roofer on-site during your adjuster meeting.
Your insurance adjuster will assess the damage to the property and build a repair estimate with the scope of work needed to be performed. Typically, this repair scope will be delivered to the homeowner in about a week in addition to a check for the actual cost value (ACV) of the repairs.
DC Contractors will verify the amounts, repairs, quantities, and scope of work. It is essential to perform all necessary repairs in the scope of work to receive any additional depreciation funds.
If the adjuster missed any damaged areas, DC Contractors will submit a supplemental claim for the additional issues. Remember that both your insurance company and DC Contractors work for you. DC Contractors will assist with every step in the claim process to ensure that your home is properly repaired.
